One of the series of "Do you like me now?" which challenges the perspective of the viewer by painting an often overlooked subject and adding a flower crown so the viewer may add more value to the subject. This hen was originally photographed at Dean Farm Trust, a vegan rescue farm. She was an ex-battery hen that when I first visited the farm her and all her sisters had barely any feathers and looked sore and neglected but were enjoying their new freedom. On the second visit she had grown back her feathers and was seemed very happy with her new life. She represents all those hens that never get a second chance and die without ever being appreciated or happy.
