My Christmas card design for 2023 inspired by my Mum's love of kingfishers and how vibrant they are! Painting at the Southern Nature Arts Exhibition as part of my demonstration.

A kingfisher wakes to find a fresh surprise on this wintery crisp morning. I really enjoyed playing around letting the background slowly form itself by adding layers of handmade watercolours wet in wet. Kingfishers are a family favourite and it always feels so magical when you spot one.
