"Kingfisher courtship - the male offers a fish to the female". Acrylic on board 2023 A3, black box frame ready to hang
 
Did you know that as part of the kingfishers mating rituals, a male will catch a fish and offer it to a female? He will keep providing gifts until the female is satisfied, or if she's not interested, he will just eat it up himself!

This is another painting I completed for my recent exhibition. I can see why many artists focus on kingfishers as they are so fun to paint with all the vibrant colours!
 
The painting is A3 sized, painted with vegan acrylic paints on to hand prepared MDF board, varnished with gloss and framed in a black box frame (no glass). It will be sent via next day delivery via DPD unless collection can be arranged.
