Did you know that as part of the kingfishers mating rituals, a male will catch a fish and offer it to a female? He will keep providing gifts until the female is satisfied, or if she's not interested, he will just eat it up himself!

This is another painting I completed for my recent exhibition. I can see why many artists focus on kingfishers as they are so fun to paint with all the vibrant colours!
