This month we had Mabon (Autumn equinox) and the harvest moon. The holiday of Mabon is a modern pagan ritual of thanksgiving for the fruits of the earth and a recognition of the need to share them to secure the blessings of the Goddess and Gods during the coming winter months. It is a celebratio and second of the harvest festivals.
 
I wanted to paint a little autumnal red squirrel harvesting their own mushrooms and having a little mabon feast in the moonlight.
